This is my year!

I told myself that 2016 would be different! This is my year to do things I have never done, see things I have never seen! I no longer want to walk through life like business as usual.  They say you have to do different things to see different results because anything else would be insanity.  So here is my first attempt to explore what different looks like.  I am normally the girl no one remembers.  The most quiet person in the room. So the idea of posting all my private thoughts for the world to see is really out of the box for me.  I have always kept a journal and I have found it to be the most easiest way to express myself so I thought I would give blogging a try.  I have nothing to lose. My desire is that something I write be an inspiration to others.

Well, let me start by giving you a brief introduction.  I am just your ordinary girl living to serve an Extraordinary God! My relationship with God is the center of everything around me. I am not perfect but I strive everyday to grow and draw closer to him each and every day.  I love to eat! Food is my comfort.  My face actually brightens up at the thought of it. So because I like to eat I also enjoy working out.  I don’t do it as much as I would like. I am a work in progress… I am a wife, sister, loyal friend, and I love my family.

That’s enough about me for now. You will get to know more about me as the days go by.  I will leave you with this.  My favorite scripture, Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Rest and be assured God loves you.  Serving the Lord is the best decision I have ever made and I take comfort in knowing my life is in His hands and He only wants the best for me.
